Family Serving Families

Choosing to move into a senior living community is as personal as the person making the decision. There is no clear-cut, step-by-step template that tells you or your loved one exactly when it is time to consider a senior living community.  We understand because we have walked this path with our own loved ones.

However, there are numerous signs that a new living arrangement is needed, such as inability to manage a home, assistance with meals, medication management, desire for social engagement, and other issues.  Our thoughtfully designed senior communities are designed to put you in control of how you live in this next chapter of your life.

Life at Harmony offers a new kind of senior housing. Far from the stigmas of nursing homes of the past; we have designed senior apartments with the elder care you need and the comfort you deserve.

Finding easy-to-understand information for your senior loved one is complicated! Our teams partner with you to provide your loved one with a solution that focuses on them.  Our trusted financial experts at ElderLife Financial work with you and your family to determine which resources are available to you and the best options for moving forward. Below you can learn about some of the financial solutions families leverage to pay for senior living.

The Department of Veteran Affairs (VA) offers benefits to help Veterans pay for increased senior care. The Aid and Attendance  benefit is one of these programs and can provide eligible U.S. Military Veterans and their spouses over $2,600 of monthly, tax-free income, which can help cover the costs of their senior care. Eligibility can be determined in less than 5 minutes by reviewing wartime dates, discharge type, care needs, income, and assets.

As a Family Serving Families company, our Memory Care program reflects the same commitment to caring for families looking for support with Alzheimer’s and dementia care. The impacts on a family caring for a loved one diagnosed with dementia or Alzheimer’s are complex and at times, unsettling. This is why Harmony places such an important focus on our Memory Care program – Harmony Reflections. As you join the Harmony family, you will be integrated into the care and wellness that we provide each of our residents in Harmony Square.

The Alzheimer's Association is the leading voluntary health organization in Alzheimer's care, support, and research.
